Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Skewers (Printable)

Juicy strawberries coated in dark chocolate, garnished with nuts or coconut on skewers. Ideal for gatherings.

# Ingredient List:

→ Fruit

01 - 24 large fresh strawberries, hulled

→ Chocolate

02 - 7 oz dark chocolate (60–70% cocoa), chopped
03 - 1 tsp coconut oil or neutral vegetable oil

→ Garnishes (optional)

04 - 2 tbsp chopped pistachios
05 - 2 tbsp shredded coconut
06 - 2 tbsp melted white chocolate (for drizzling)

# How to Make:

01 - Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries, ensuring all moisture is removed. Hull if necessary.
02 - Thread three strawberries onto each skewer and set aside.
03 - Gently melt dark chocolate with coconut oil over simmering water, stirring until smooth. Alternatively, microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each until fully melted.
04 - Line a tray with parchment paper to place dipped skewers.
05 - Holding a skewer, partially or fully dip strawberries into melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
06 - Place dipped skewers on the lined tray and, while chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with chopped pistachios or shredded coconut as desired.
07 - Drizzle melted white chocolate over the dipped strawberries for added decoration.
08 - Refrigerate skewers for 15 minutes or until the chocolate has fully set. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • They come together in under twenty minutes, which means you can make them even when guests are already on their way.
  • The combination of juicy fruit and snappy chocolate hits different every single time—it never gets old.
  • They feel fancy enough for someone you're trying to impress, but casual enough for a Tuesday afternoon snack.
02 -
  • Dry strawberries are non-negotiable—wet ones reject the chocolate like oil and water, and you'll end up with bare patches that look unfinished.
  • Don't let your chocolate get too hot, or it'll turn thin and runny instead of coating smoothly; chocolate wants gentle heat, almost like you're coaxing it rather than forcing it.
03 -
  • Pat strawberries dry with a clean kitchen towel instead of paper towels if you have one—less debris, better chocolate adhesion.
  • If you mess up a dip and the chocolate is uneven, you haven't ruined it; imperfect-looking skewers taste exactly the same and honestly look more homemade.
